A clip of a previously unreleased Michael Jackson song has hit the net, and it feels eerie.

In the song “A Place With No Name,” the late King of Pop sings about his desire to travel to a mysterious locale: “Take me to a place without no name.”

It is not clear when the song was recorded or if it is referring to a heaven-like utopia or a remote getaway.

The 25-second snippet obtained by TMZ is an interpolation of America‘s song “A Horse With No Name” that reached Number 1 on The Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1972.

Years ago, America’s manager reportedly approved Michael’s “A Place With No Name.”

Jim Morey, America’s current manager who also represented Michael in the late ’80s and early ’90s, told TMZ that the band supported Michael’s rendition. “The band was honored that Michael chose to do their song and they hope it becomes available for all Michael’s fans to hear.”

PARIS (AFP) – Astronomers on Wednesday said they had identified an intermediate class of black hole that could explain how supermassive, light-sucking monsters develop in the heart of galaxies.

Their find — a black hole more than 500 times the mass of the Sun, on the fringe of galaxy ESO 243-249 — is reported in the latest issue of Nature, the British-based science journal.

In terms of size, it lies between supermassive black holes, which can be billions of times the mass of the Sun, and relative tiddlers, which are between three and 20 solar masses.

Black holes are among the most powerful forces in the Universe. They are concentrated fields of gravity which are so powerful that nothing, not even light, can escape them.

Stellar-mass black holes are believed to have been created from the death throes of massive stars.

But there is less consensus over how supermassive black holes, which lurk in the centre of galaxies, including the Milky Way, are formed.

“One theory is supermassive black holes may be formed by the merger of a number of intermediate-mass black holes,” said lead author Sean Farrell, an astrophysicist at Britain’s University of Leicester.

“To ratify such a theory, however, you must first prove the existence of intermediate black holes.”

As black holes do not emit light, the existence and size of the intermediate black hole was detected thanks to its “ultra-luminous” X-ray emissions, spotted by Europe’s XMM-Newton orbital telescope.

Michael Joseph Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana (an industrial suburb of Chicago, Illinois) to a working-class family on August 29, 1958.[9] The son of Joseph Walter “Joe” Jackson and Katherine Esther (née Scruse), he was the seventh of nine children. His siblings are Rebbie, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, La Toya, Marlon, Randy and Janet. Joseph Jackson was a steel mill employee who often performed in an R&B band called The Falcons with his brother Luther. Jackson was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness by his devout mother.

From a young age Jackson was physically and emotionally abused by his father, enduring incessant rehearsals, whippings and name-calling. Jackson first spoke openly about his childhood abuse in a 1993 interview with Oprah Winfrey. He said that during his childhood he often cried from loneliness and would sometimes get sick or start to vomit upon seeing his father. In Jackson’s other high profile interview, Living with Michael Jackson (2003), the singer covered his face with his hand and began crying when talking about his childhood abuse. Jackson recalled that Joseph sat in a chair with a belt in his hand as he and his siblings rehearsed and that “if you didn’t do it the right way, he would tear you up, really get you.”

Jackson showed musical talent early in his life, performing in front of classmates and others during a Christmas recital at the age of five. In 1964, Jackson and Marlon joined the Jackson Brothers — a band formed by brothers Jackie, Tito and Jermaine — as backup musicians playing congas and tambourine, respectively. Jackson later began performing backup vocals and dancing; at the age of eight, he and Jermaine assumed lead vocals, and the group’s name was changed to The Jackson 5.[9] The band toured the Midwest extensively from 1966 to 1968. The band frequently performed at a string of black clubs and venues collectively known as the “chitlin’ circuit”, where they often opened for stripteases and other adult acts. In 1966, they won a major local talent show with renditions of Motown hits and James Brown’s “I Got You (I Feel Good)”, led by Michael.

On June 25, 2009, Jackson collapsed at a rented home in Holmby Hills in Los Angeles. Attempts at resuscitating him by his personal physician were unsuccessful.[163] Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics received a 911 call at 12:21 pm (PDT),[164] and arrived nine minutes later at Jackson’s location. He was reportedly not breathing and CPR was performed.[165] Resuscitation efforts continued both en route to the UCLA Medical Center, and for an hour further after arriving at approximately 1:14 pm (20:14 UTC).[163] He was noted to have already been in cardiac arrest by the paramedics who attended his house.[165] Jackson was pronounced dead at about 2:26 pm local time (21:26 UTC).[166] Many news organizations were generally very cautious about the initial reports of his death.

An employee of Kennard, William Fuld took over the talking board production and in 1901, he started production of his own boards under the name “Ouija”. The Fuld name would become synonymous with the Ouija board, as Fuld reinvented its history, claiming that he himself had invented it. The strange talk about the boards from Fuld’s competitors flooded the market and all these boards enjoyed a heyday from the 1920s through the 1960s. Fuld sued many companies over the “Ouija” name and concept right up until his death in 1927. In 1966, Fuld’s estate sold the entire business to Parker Brothers, who continues to hold all trademarks and patents. About ten brands of talking boards are sold today under various names.
